Peter Brook

Bachelor in Dental Surgery BDS (Univ. of Manchester) 1981.

2 year MSc and D’Orth Postgraduate Course, University of Manchester 1984 - 1986. The MSc thesis was the development of an index for orthodontic treatment priority (IOTN) which is now used to prioritize patients for NHS treatment.

Past and Present Posts

Since qualifying, Peter has spent the majority of his career in Specialist Practice, including developing his own practice in Northampton from 1996 - 2000 (subsequently acquired by OrthoWorld). In addition to this, Peter has worked both part-time and full-time as a Consultant in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

He has also been a full-time Clinical Director of Oasis and ADP dental corporates.

Peter is currently in specialist practice in Norfolk/Suffolk with a growing interest in lingual treatments and ligature free systems.

Peter served as a committee member and member of the Standards Working Party and General Orthodontic Services Committee of the British Association of Orthodontists from 1990 - 1994, and continued in the Specialist Practitioner Group and Development and Standards Working Party of the newly formed BOS 1999 - 2000.

General Interests

Married with 3 children 2 months, 20 and 22. Enjoys golf, sailing and motorbikes.
