Rye has overall responsibility for the Society's Awards and Grants. She co-ordinates the judging/evaluation of submissions and maintains good governance through up to date regulations for each award. Rye is also Director of the British Orthodontic Society Foundation (BOSF). BOSF raises money for UK Orthodontic research.

Jane is the Ethics and Community Group representative for the Committee. Jane completed her DOrth and MScD training in 1980 and works as Specialist Dental Officer (Orthodontics) for Cardiff & Vale University Health Board.

David Tewson is the COG representative on the Committee. He has been a Consultant since 1988 and has wide experience as lead examiner and Chair of the RCS Edinburgh, Specialty Advisory Board in Orthodontics.

David Manger reports the views and feedback from the Practitioner Group to the S&G Committee, he is also a judge for the Dental Directory Prize for Practitioners at The British Orthodontic Conference.

Goldie presents the views and ideas from the Training Grades Group to the S&G Committee, he is also involved in helping to make any changes needed to the rules and regulations of existing prizes.

Fraser was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in 1992 and currently holds the title of Professor and Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Kings College London Dental Institute. He also represents the interests of the University Teachers Group (UTG) of the BOS.
