BOS History

History of BOS, the BOS museum, orthodontic archives

The Society has a museum at its headquarters with a growing collection of artefacts and archive material relating to orthodontics. The collection is being developed by the curator Professor JP Moss.

There are a number of Society members with an interest in the history of orthodontics in the UK and articles of interest on this topic are welcomed for publication on the website.

The Archive and Museum Committee is responsible for the care of the BOS Museum and its collections. The scope of the collection and collecting criteria are detailed in the BOS Museum Collection Policy. The Committee furthers the preservation of documents and artefacts of historic, political and scientific interest relevant to the practice of orthodontics. The Committee fosters and promotes interest in the history of orthodontics.
