David Waring
Qualified in Dentistry from Leeds University Dental School. After various general practice and hospital posts, including a (very enjoyable) spell with the Flying Doctor service in Australia entered into specialist Orthodontic training.
Completed my specialist training in Orthodontics at Liverpool University Dental Hospital & I began a Consultant Orthodontist post at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital. I also work in private specialist orthodontic practice at Northenden House Orthodontics.
I was Clinical Lead from 2008- 2018 and I am now Training Programme Director (TPD) for Orthodontics, Manchester. I have recently been a BOS trustee and the Chair of British Orthodontic Conference and chaired conferences in Glasgow 2019 and Manchester 2021. I am on the Consultant Orthodontic Group committee.
I have supervised MSc dissertations and published nationally and internationally. I am also an examiner for the M.Orth examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the ISFE. Outside of Orthodontics I try to play squash (poorly!) and cycle (slowly!).
