Equipment and Tools
Up until the 1960s, orthodontists had to make every part of an appliance themselves which included forming bands, pressing brackets out of stainless steel strips, winding springs and bending arch wires and they needed a range of tools to do so. These pages will show you the variety of tools and equipment orthodontists use to construct and fit appliances.
