Nadia Ahmed
OSG Committee: Honorary secretary
Nadia has been an OSG committee member since 2017, and has also served as Clinical Governance representative for the OSG over the past few years, actively working with the CG committee to update a number of patient information leaflets and BOS guidelines.
She completed her MOrth in 2016 and during her StR training, she carried out research in autotransplantation for her MSc from the University of Leeds. Nadia was elected TGG treasurer during her StR training and was involved in organisation of a number of events.
Following successful completion of her MOrth, Nadia carried out two years in specialist practice alongside being an Associate Specialist at Kettering Hospital. She then returned to post-CCST training which was undertaken in Birmingham and particularly enjoyed exposure to the cleft service at Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital during her training.
She is currently a part-time Consultant and part time Specialist in practice. She is undertaking a PG Cert in Dental Education and has a passion for teaching. She has been involved in a number of postgraduate textbooks and is continuing to publish with another clinical book in progress.
Nadia has recently certified as a life coach and is looking forward to bringing her skills and knowledge to the committee and wider OSG group.
In her spare time, Nadia enjoys a number of activities. She loves baking and is making progress with her GBBO application. Also she enjoys oil painting, bollywood dance on stage with the SHIAMAK academy, hosting dinner parties, hiking and new adventures!
